ADHD Coaching is available for parents, elementary-age students, teens and adults. It includes a comprehensive assessment and age- appropriate training in relevant executive functioning skills. Coaching is accessible in person or online with daytime, evening and weekend appointments.

Our #ADHD coach/therapist, Tania Bryan, brings to you her experience & expertise working in classrooms in special education and child advocacy, as a child & family therapist, and as a mother of an ADHD child. ADHD Parent Coaching

ADHD Parent Coaching at Help for Families Canada available Canada-wide in online & in person options.

You will receive:

– An individualized assessment of your child’s executive functioning skills (strengths & struggles) and

A customized program to develop skills, strategies, and tools to help your child succeed at home and at school more easily.

– As a parent with ADHD, you can learn strategies to manage your challenges and support your child with their executive functioning difficulties.

– Coaching in emotional regulation and behavior management to help you navigate through the challenges in your parent-child relationships.

ADHD Child Play Therapy with K through Grade 3

The early years of primary education are incredibly important for supporting children with ADHD and shielding them from negative effects (such as shame & learned helplessness). We:

ADHD Coaching Child in Grades 4-7

This phase highlights the challenges that arise when there is a mismatch between what adults expect from students and the students’ actual abilities. Schools anticipate that students will become more independent and organized, which can be problematic.

Coaching can help children learn to:

  • manage their time,
  • organize and plan for projects and assignments
  • how to start tasks & overcome motivation issues
  • complete & submit homework.

ADHD Teen Coaching

Adolescence is the time of identity formation and independence.

Schools begin to expect more self-direction and many of the supports and accommodations are reduced. The demands on their executive functioning such as planning, organization, time management, working memory can overwhelm the teen with adhd.

Coaching involves an executive functioning assessment and direct sharing of strategies to build competence and confidence. Furthermore, a coach will support students in how to advocate for themselves and overcome barriers to their optimal success in their academic, personal and work lives.

Adult ADHD Coaching

Adult adhd coaching is a partnership towards overcoming personal executive functioning challenges and build upon personal strengths to help adults achieve their personal and professional goals.

Topics for adult adhd coaching may include:

  • romantic relationships and the adhd impact.
  • organised, efficient domestic spaces and routines
  • mindset of acceptance and self-compassion
  • reframing limiting beliefs (incorporating cognitive behavioural therapy or  CBT).
